The Glenlivet Single Cask Edition is a 14 year old single malt drawn from one first-fill sherry butt, cask 58022, at the Speyside distillery. It was bottled in February 2018 at a natural cask strength of 61.2%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The cask gave 528 individually numbered bottles.
The nose shows sweet damson plums and poached pears in licorice-root syrup, with fresh citrus and cinnamon. Warming ginger, raisins, sultanas, treacle toffee, marzipan and a hint of dark chocolate come through on the palate, with lively lemon peel. The finish is long and slightly dry, with toasted almonds.
