This is a 14 year old single malt from The Glenlivet in Speyside, part of the Single Cask Edition Pullman Collection. It was matured in a single European oak butt, cask 5235, and bottled unblended at 58% ABV in January 2016. Only 588 bottles were filled.
The release is named after the 20th Century Limited, the New York Central train that ran between Grand Central Station and Chicago. The collection marks the first time The Glenlivet made single casks available in the U.S.
The nose is sweet with honey, golden syrup and creamy vanilla, with a touch of floral gorse. On the palate come orange, ginger marmalade, cinnamon and soft ripe pear. The finish is long and dry, with a hint of spice.
