The Glenlivet Single Cask Edition Pullman Club Car is an 18-year-old Speyside single malt drawn from one 500-litre first-fill sherry butt and bottled at cask strength, 56.24%, in January 2016. Just 618 bottles were produced worldwide, in a 750ml size.
It belongs to the travel-retail Pullman Train Collection, which recalls the Pullman Train Company club cars, where The Glenlivet was the only single malt served. The Club Car bottling salutes the rolling bar car itself.
Tasting notes describe baking spices, cocoa powder and butterscotch on the nose, and a palate of apricots, peaches and toasted marshmallow over a touch of barrel char.
