An 18-year-old Speyside single malt from The Glenrothes, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle.
It matures entirely in sherry-seasoned casks. First-fill American oak adds sweeter notes and European oak adds spice, and every cask in the vatting has held sherry at some point.
Tasting notes describe pear, vanilla pods and orange oil on the nose, with almond and dried ginger. The palate brings creamy vanilla and caramel against ginger and black pepper, with dark fruit and raisin, and the finish is medium-long and warming.
