The Glenrothes – 18 Year Old

This is an 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky from The Glenrothes. It was matured only in sherry seasoned oak casks, with a high proportion of first fill, and is bottled at natural colour. The character is sweet, built around vanilla, pear and fresh ginger. In the tasting notes, orange oil, vanilla pods, pear and almonds come first on the nose. The palate adds rose water to the ginger and pears, and the finish is sweet, spicy and slightly peppery.
