This is a 25-year-old Speyside single malt from The Glenrothes, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the oldest expression in the Soleo Collection, which is matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned oak.
The whisky spent its 25 years in first-fill sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks. It was blended by Master Whisky Maker Laura Rampling and is bottled at natural colour without chill filtration.
The nose offers nutty sweetness and marzipan, cedar, coriander seed, jasmine, ripe peaches and orange peel. The palate has creamy vanilla, stone fruit and orange oil with toasted almonds and milk chocolate. The finish is rich and sweet, with silky nuttiness.
