This is the 2024 release of Triple Wood from The Glenturret, a Highland single malt made in Perthshire from un-peated spirit. It is matured in a blend of American oak ex-bourbon casks, European oak sherry-seasoned casks and European oak used as a secondary maturation.
The whisky is bottled at 44% ABV, with natural colour and without chill-filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings vanilla toffee, lemon peel and pear drop, with ginger and cinnamon behind. The palate is medium in body, with honeyed pear and peach, vanilla and nutmeg. The finish is clean and mellow, with soft cinnamon fading into vanilla cream.
