The Hakushu 18 Years Old

The Hakushu 18 Years Old is a Japanese single malt from Suntory's Hakushu distillery, matured for at least 18 years. It is made only from malted barley and Japanese spring water, with the mashing water coming from the Ojira and Jingu rivers. The wash is fermented in wooden washbacks and distilled twice in copper stills. The nose is fruity, with a hint of freshly cut grass, delicate smoke, orange and pear. The palate brings warm peat fire, baking spices, peach, pineapple and honey buns. The finish keeps a touch of exotic fruit, with cinnamon and returning cut grass.
