The Heart Cut x Barley is an English blended malt in a 50cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is the first release in The Heart Cut's three-part grain series of Barley, Corn and Rye.
It brings together single malt casks from five English distilleries: Copper Rivet, The English, Cotswolds, White Peak and Adnams. The flavour profile was shaped with input from more than 5,000 whisky drinkers through the bottler's Whisky Matchmaker.
The nose is ripe berries and meringue, with marmalade, shortbread and cinnamon porridge. The palate is peaches and cream, malty, with vanilla, raspberries, orange zest and baking spices. The finish turns maltier and more chocolatey, with bright citrus and cinnamon.
