The Irishman 12 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from Walsh Whiskey Distillery in Royal Oak, County Carlow, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from 100% Irish malted barley, distilled in copper pot stills and matured for at least twelve years in first-fill bourbon barrels.
The nose is vanilla, cinnamon and clove with apple, pear and freshly cut hay. The palate is sweet and rounded, with vanilla, black peppercorn and orchard fruit. The finish is long, with barley, toasted oak and a late note of creamy fudge.
