The Irishman Cask Strength 2022 (70cl, 54.9%)

This is an Irish whiskey from The Irishman, bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 54.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of triple-distilled single malt and pot still whiskey, matured in American oak bourbon barrels. The casks are chosen by hand by Bernard Walsh, founder of The Irishman, for this yearly release. Only 4,900 bottles were filled. The nose combines green fruit with rich spice. The palate begins strongly, then turns surprisingly soft, with light, sweet and fruity flavours from the American oak.
