The Irishman Cask Strength 2024 is the 16th annual limited release curated by Bernard Walsh. It blends triple-distilled single malt with single pot still whiskey, matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels.
It is bottled at 55.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. Around 3,072 bottles were released, each numbered.
The nose has orchard fruits, vanilla and warm nuttiness. Peach, apple blossom, fig and honey come through on the palate, and the finish is smooth and lingering, with subtle sweetness and nutty notes.
