The Irishman Cask Strength is the 13th edition of the Vintage Cask series from Walsh Whiskey, a 2021 vintage bottled at 54.8% ABV. It marries aged single malt with aged single pot still, matured in first-fill bourbon casks and non-chill-filtered.
Each bottle comes in a numbered wooden cask with a dated certificate signed by Bernard Walsh, co-founder of Walsh Whiskey and creator of The Irishman.
The nose offers candied orange and cherries. On the palate a subtle nuttiness builds slowly, with hints of clove and nutmeg, and the finish is decadent.
