This is a blended malt from North Star Spirits, bottled at 50.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle as part of the Islay Connection series. It brings together selected Islay single malts, with Bowmore and Bruichladdich named as the distilleries.
The age statement is 10 years, with older whisky in the mix: the malts were distilled in 2015 and earlier, and the blend was bottled in 2025. It was matured in bourbon and refill sherry casks, and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
Peat smoke, sea air, citrus and a touch of vanilla lead on the nose. The palate is full and lively, with smoke, sweet malt, spice and salty coastal notes, and the finish is long and smoky.
