The Kurayoshi Pure Malt Sherry Cask is a Japanese blended malt from Matsui Shuzou, a distillery in Tottori prefecture founded in 1910. It is made from a careful selection of malt whiskies.
The blend is aged for more than three years in oak casks and then in ex-sherry casks.
The nose is ripe fruit and chocolate. The palate follows with citrus, lemongrass and pepper, balancing sweetness and acidity, and the finish is light and bittersweet.
