The Kyoto Blended Kuro-Obi Black (70cl)

Kuro-Obi is a Japanese blended whisky from the Kyoto Miyako Distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It is the black-label member of a trio whose labels are made with nishijin-ori, the traditional woven fabric of Kyoto. The blend combines a bourbon-style whisky, with at least 51 per cent corn, aged in new American oak, and carefully selected single malts. It is then finished in ex-bourbon casks. The nose has vanilla and tropical fruit: pineapple, banana and coconut. The palate is fruity, with citrus and apricot, and the finish is sweet and lingering.
