This is a single malt from The Lakes Distillery in England, part of its Whiskymaker's Editions range. Equinox is matured in Oloroso sherry and Calvados casks and bottled at 46.6% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
It was inspired by the lingering twilight between summer and autumn.
The nose has apple turnover, fresh apricots, baking spices and a fragrant note of sandalwood. The palate is an intense mix of orchard fruits, orange blossom and sweet spices, and the finish is rich and lingering with spice.
