The Lakes Distillery – Whiskymaker's Editions Resfeber (70cl, 46.6%)

Resfeber is a single malt from The Lakes Distillery in England, part of the Whiskymaker's Editions range. It is bottled at 46.6% in natural colour and without chill filtration. The whisky was inspired by the exploration, risk and exhilaration of trying something new, capturing the energy at the start of a journey. It was matured in cream sherry casks together with red wine barriques, and the cream sherry influence sits alongside the tart red wine. The nose is described as toffee-dipped Jazz apples with gentle baking spice and dried apricots. The palate brings maraschino cherries, toffee, rose petal preserve and hints of summer pudding, and the finish is vibrant yet creamy and warming.
