The Lakes Kairos (46.6%)

Kairos is a limited edition single malt from The Lakes Distillery, near Cockermouth on the River Derwent in Cumbria, in north-west England. It matured in ex-sherry casks of American oak and in wine casks made mainly of European oak. The name comes from ancient Greek and refers to the right moment for a decision. The whisky is bottled at 46.6% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. The nose is spiced, sherry-soaked sultanas, fragrant sandalwood and a hint of cocoa powder. The palate brings dried apple slices, a light syrupy sweetness, polished oak and sweet spices. The finish is warming and lightly spicy.
