The Lakes – Signature Single Malt Whisky (47%)

Signature is the first permanent single malt in the core range from The Lakes Distillery, made in the Lake District. It is a sherry-led whisky bottled at 47%. It was matured in a mix of ex-sherry casks, giving dark chocolate, dried fruit and warming spice. The nose brings polished oak, leather, dried fruit, pecans, dark chocolate and a hint of orange peel. On the palate come baking spices, raisins and figs, then stewed orchard fruit, a burst of citrus and treacle alongside oak warmth. The finish is long, with dried fruit lingering throughout.
