The Lakes Whiskymaker's Edition Mosaic is part of The Whiskymaker's Editions, a series of one-off releases that showcase the sense of adventure of the distillery's whiskymaker. Each edition departs from The Lakes' sherry-led house style.
Mosaic was matured in cream sherry casks and red wine barriques.
The distillery describes a nose of dried sultanas, roasted macadamia nuts, chocolate malt and autumn leaves. The palate is light and fruity, with blackcurrants, wood spice and chocolate coffee beans. The finish is long and almost malty, with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.
