This is The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve No.1, a full-bodied single malt bottled at a cask strength of 60.6%. It was released on 7 September 2019 in a run of 5,922 individually numbered bottles.
It was matured mainly in PX sherry and red wine casks, made from American, Spanish and French oak. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at natural colour.
The nose is rich and vibrant, with vanilla, chocolate and wood spice. The palate brings layers of dried fruit, ginger and orange, and the finish is long and warming.
