The Last Drop 50 Year Old Double Matured Blended Scotch Whisky

The Last Drop 50 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky first assembled from more than fifty different Scotch whiskies. It began as a 30 year old blend, made for the growing market in the Far East. Once that first bottling was complete, a small remainder was moved into seven Spanish hogsheads that had held Oloroso sherry, and returned to a traditional warehouse in the Scottish Lowlands. A second maturation of a further 20 years followed, and the whisky was bottled in late 2015. The two woods each left their mark: stone fruit and honey from the Bourbon wood, and a rich, spicy quality from the sherry wood.
