Benachie is a 12 year old single malt from The Lost Distillery Company, which revives the character of a Highland distillery in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, whose style was last produced in the late 19th century. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It is made from malted barley and matured in oak casks for at least 12 years. The colour is a luminous gold.
The palate shows gentle honey sweetness, soft vanilla and warm oak, with a faint wisp of smoke. The finish lingers, in a classic Highland manner.
