A 12 year old single malt from The Macallan, matured entirely in sherry-seasoned oak casks, both American and European. The American oak is shipped to Spain, where the casks are made and seasoned with sherry before going to the Speyside distillery for the 12 years of maturation. The whisky is then married with whisky aged in European oak.
It is described as sweet, smooth and harmonious, with the character of American oak and citrus set against The Macallan's signature full fruit and spice.
