The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% ABV and sold in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured in sherry casks made from European and American oak, with Spanish sherry casks making up the larger share. This gives the whisky a clearly European profile and a naturally dark colour.
It is usually described as full-bodied and powerful, with notes of dried fruit and spiced wood.
