The Macallan – 12 Year Old Sherry Oak

The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak is a single malt from The Macallan, established in 1824. It is matured for 12 years exclusively in oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez, Spain, and the spirit stays in the same casks throughout. The casks are hand-picked to specifications set by the Whisky Mastery Team, and the oak is credited with shaping the whisky's natural colour, aromas and flavours. It is described as rich and complex, characterised by spice and dried fruit, with a natural golden colour.
