The Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, in a 75cl bottle. It is matured for a minimum of 15 years in sherry-seasoned oak casks, both European and American, with Oloroso sherry named for the casks.
The American oak brings sweetness to the classic Macallan style. The colour is golden butterscotch.
The nose offers dried fruits, toffee, vanilla, smooth oak and baked apple, with honey and chocolate. The palate is sweet raisin and sultana with vanilla, wood spice and citrus. The finish is warm ginger turning to caramel and citrus.
