This is The Macallan 15 Years Old Double Cask, a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is distilled in pot stills and matured for 15 years in American and European oak. It then finishes in casks that previously held Oloroso sherry.
The nose is sweet and buttery, with caramel, cooked apples, citrus, candied fruit, vanilla, chocolate and sweet spices. The palate is full, warm and round, with a creamy richness and long spicy returns, and the finish is clean and lingering.
