This is The Macallan Double Cask 18 Year Old in its 2026 release, a single malt matured for a minimum of 18 years. The whole maturation took place in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, seasoned in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
American oak brings a sweeter side, while European oak adds dried fruit and spice. The whisky is described as rich, smooth and balanced, with dried fruit, oak, spice and sweetness.
