The Macallan 18 Years Old Sherry Oak Cask is the 2023 release of this Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited release.
The whisky was matured for at least 18 years in former sherry casks, which shaped its flavour and character.
The nose offers dried fruit and ginger with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. The palate is soft and rich, with spices, cloves, orange and toasted, aged oak, leading to a long finish of dried fruit, ginger and orange peel.
