The Macallan 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Sherry Oak Collection, bottled at 43% ABV. It was matured for 25 years entirely in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, and has a rich mahogany colour.
The nose is led by raisins, plums, figs and candied orange, with cinnamon, nutmeg, dark chocolate and warm oak. The palate is full-bodied, with prune, fig and raisin, honey or toffee sweetness, dark chocolate, warm spices and oak tannins. The finish is long and warming, with lingering fruit, oak spice and chocolate sweetness.
