This is The Macallan A Night On Earth: The First Light, a limited edition Highland single malt bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It belongs to Macallan's A Night On Earth series, inspired by seasonal festivities around the world, and comes in a gift box with artwork by illustrator Brendan Monroe.
The whisky is matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned European oak casks, American oak casks and refill barrels.
The nose offers buttery shortbread, honeyed oak, almond and light citrus zest. Creamy vanilla, dried fruits, gentle baking spices and toasted oak follow on the palate, and the finish is smooth and warming, with a lingering sweetness.
