The Macallan Art is the Flower is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 50.4% ABV and natural colour. It is a limited-edition release in the Tree of Life Collection, announced on 29 April 2025 in collaboration with the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society.
The name comes from Mackintosh's 1902 lecture 'Art is the Flower', and the release draws on his stained-glass panel The Spirit of the Rose. Whisky Maker Steven Bremner chose first- and second-fill sherry-seasoned European oak casks from Jerez, Spain.
The nose offers raisins, fig, polished oak, cherry, orange, almonds and treacle. The palate brings sweet oak, raisins, vanilla, ginger, apple and a hint of leaf tea, followed by a long, sweet, rich finish.
