The Macallan Classic Cut 2023 Edition is a single malt bottled at 50.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has a golden barley colour. The whisky pairs the sweet lightness of former bourbon casks with the depth of Macallan's traditional sherry casks.
The nose brings pears, elderflower, light almond and vanilla pod. The palate is sweet and creamy, with vanilla, juicy pears, lemon zest and a hint of oak. Adding a small splash of water, to bring it down to 40%, draws out almond biscotti. The finish is medium, with sweet oak and almond biscotti.
