The Macallan Classic Cut is a limited annual release of high-strength single malt. This is the 2025 edition, bottled at 50.6% ABV, the strength the whisky maker prefers for the series.
It is matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned European and American oak alongside ex-bourbon casks. The colour is golden sunset.
The nose brings orange oil, barley sugar, milk chocolate, caramel wafer, vanilla panna cotta and baked apple turnover. On the palate there is icing sugar sweetness with grapefruit and mandarin, lemon meringue and caramelised almonds.
