The Macallan Classic Cut 2025 is the latest release in the distillery's annual cask strength series, a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered.
It is matured in hand-picked European and American oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry, and is bottled at a higher strength to intensify flavour and mouthfeel.
The nose has dried fruit, candied orange peel, nutmeg and vanilla. On the palate there is a rich sherry influence with raisin, ginger spice, dark chocolate and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with baking spice, sweet citrus and lingering oak.
