This is The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary, an 18 year old single malt distilled in 2007 and bottled at 45.5% in a 70cl bottle.
The release draws on Bond's appreciation of sherry. It was matured in a selection of sherry and red wine seasoned oak casks, including bespoke hybrid sherry seasoned oak casks, which add complexity to the whisky.
The aim was a whisky of glittering depth and character, reflecting a film story in which not everything is as it seems.
