The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever is an 18 year old Highland single malt, released for the 55th anniversary of the 1971 James Bond film of the same name. It was distilled in 2007 and bottled at 45.5% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in oak casks seasoned with red wine and sherry.
The nose opens with fresh lemon and lime and a touch of sherbet, then soft vanilla, coconut and dried fig. On the palate come orange zest, ginger, dark chocolate, baked apple tart and honeyed sweetness, followed by a long finish.
