The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release is an 18 year old Highland single malt, distilled in 2007 and bottled at 45.5% ABV. It marks 55 years since the James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever, and is a limited edition.
The whisky matured in sherry and red wine casks made from both European and American oak. Notes of oak, vanilla and dried fruit are found on the nose. The palate adds caramel, cocoa, truffle, coffee, berries and apricot to the vanilla and dried fruit.
