The Macallan – Distil Your World Hong Kong (70cl, 46.8%)

This is a single malt Scotch whisky from The Macallan, the fourth release in its Distil Your World city series after London, New York and Mexico. It was announced in April 2025 and created by whisky maker Euan Kennedy with the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain, to reflect Hong Kong's mix of tradition and modernity. It combines sherry-seasoned European oak hogsheads with hand-selected American oak casks, and comes in a deep-blue presentation case inspired by the waters around Hong Kong. The strength is 46.8%, in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers dried spices, ginger, cinnamon, honey, antique oak, pomelo and mango. On the palate, grapefruit and umami notes sit over a sherry-oak core.
