The Macallan Distil Your World: Paris is a limited edition Speyside single malt, bottled at 47.2% with natural colour. It is the fifth release in the Distil Your World series, a collaboration between The Macallan and the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca. Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell created it, drawing on French gastronomy and l'art de la table.
The whisky is matured in sherry-seasoned European oak, sherry-seasoned American oak, ex-bourbon casks and Cognac casks, the last an uncommon addition for Macallan.
The nose brings almond croissant, vanilla pod and nectarine, with rose, sandalwood and soft citrus. The palate is rich with brioche, buttered pastry, peach melba and caramelised fruit, and the finish is long, with warm oak, subtle spice and a sweet, floral note.
