The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 375ml bottle, made from whiskies matured in two kinds of oak.
Some of the whisky comes from Sherry-seasoned ex-Bourbon barrels and some from Sherry casks. The European oak is linked with exotic spice and richness, while the American oak brings vanilla. The Sherry adds its own dessert-like flavours of dark chocolate and caramel.
