The Macallan Double Cask 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. It has been matured for a minimum of 15 years.
The whisky is a marriage of American oak and European oak casks, both seasoned with Oloroso sherry in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Its golden butterscotch colour is natural.
The nose brings dried fruit, butterscotch, baked apples, chocolate and smooth oak. On the palate, sweet raisin and sultana build alongside cinnamon, nutmeg and creamy vanilla, leading to a medium finish of lingering oak and spice.
