The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old is a single malt matured for 18 years in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks.
The two oaks bring a delicate vanilla sweetness and a subtle spice. On the nose there is dried fruit, ginger and toffee, with rich orange and hints of clove and nutmeg. The palate offers raisin and sultana with caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus. The finish is warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
