The Macallan Double Cask 30 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured for thirty years in sherry-seasoned American oak and sherry-seasoned European oak casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
An annual release from the Easter Elchies estate, it joined the Double Cask range in 2021. Honeycomb, sweet toffee, red apple, fig and vanilla pod lead the nose.
The palate brings cinnamon, ginger, Madagascan vanilla and dried fruits over oak, and the finish is long, with sweet oak, soft spice and toffee.
