The Macallan Edition No. 1 is the first expression in the Edition Series, a single malt at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It celebrates the distillery's oak cask management policy, which oversees the process from sourcing the wood to the finished, seasoned cask.
The whisky is drawn from eight styles and sizes of European and American oak cask, so the influence of the wood shows in its flavour. It is described as a bold single malt.
