The Macallan – Estate Scotch Whisky (75cl, 43%)

The Macallan Estate is a Speyside single malt released in 2019 as a tribute to The Macallan's home, created by Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It contains spirit distilled from a proportion of the barley grown at Easter Elchies, the 485-acre estate on the River Spey where The Macallan has distilled since 1824. That spirit is made once a year, over a single week, and matured in sherry-seasoned oak butts and hogsheads. The nose is warm cinnamon, wood spice and orange oil over dried fruit, sweet lemon, banana and caramel. The palate is soft and warming, with dry oak, candied raisin and fresh fig, and the finish is sweet orange and delicate citrus.
