The Macallan – Harmony Collection Honey Orchid Tea

The Macallan Harmony Collection Honey Orchid Tea is a single malt from The Macallan, the Speyside distillery founded in 1824. The distillery works to its 'Six Pillars', which include close attention to wood management and the use of small stills. The whisky has a warm honey colour. The nose is led by wild honey, orange blossom and creamy vanilla, with peach, apricot and floral honey. The palate is silky, with malt, candied citrus and floral tea, then peaches in rich syrup, warm citrus and toffee. A delicate, leafy astringency and a clear oolong character run through it, with roasted richness and a touch of dessert wine sweetness. The finish is long and smooth.
