This is a single malt from The Macallan, the sixth and final release in the Harmony Collection. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The coconut character is said to come entirely from the casks, with no added flavouring: sherry-seasoned American oak and ex-bourbon casks chosen for their high oak lactones. The box is made with coconut fibres, in keeping with the collection's focus on sustainable packaging. It was crafted by the Macallan Whisky Mastery Team under Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell.
The nose brings fresh coconut, coconut milk, lime, mango, papaya and vanilla, with nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate has lemon sponge, vanilla icing and desiccated coconut. The finish is bright and floral, with lingering coconut.
